Location Sketch: Lions Gate Bridge from Stanley Park Seawall
I have previously sketched this majestic scene at the exact location back in July 2023 shortly after travel restrictions ended. Then I painted a landscape format in an attempt to capture the entire 1823m span of Lions Gate Bridge.
This time I decided to paint a portrait format sketch focusing on the bridge tower nearest to Stanley Park seawall. What made this painting session extra special, apart from the wonderful weather and cool sea breeze, was to be joined by my wife who sat next to me and who also created a pencil sketch. Plus she also packed a picnic, an extra bonus!
