The ‘Orange, White and Green’ colour scheme of New World First Buses (NWFN) are a familiar and iconic part of Hong Kong’s urban landscape and public transport history. They can be seen all across the city, particularly on Hong Kong Island and cross harbour routes. However, since the operating franchise was officially merged with the City’s brand in 2023, these particular tri coloured buses are slowly being phased out and repainted into the modern Citybus brand which uses a primary yellow colour with red and blue accents. Hence I thought I would create a ‘bus portrait’ of such a bus passing Yee Woo street bridge in Causeway Bay for posterity, as we will miss them when they are gone.
