This is an experiment with a more impressionistic style of watercolour painting and shows a nighttime neon-lit view along Tung Choi Street in the bustling and densely populated Mong Kok district. I spent some time walking around this area taking my reference photos to work from and enjoyed exploring the maze of streets. My aim with this piece is to explore how to capture light and mood, and suggest & simplify detail rather than getting too concerned with them.
