Dream of the Imperial Palace Cat.
Hand drawn mixed media on 300gsm paper.
Trying a more illustrative and experimental artwork in the same deconstructed and reimagined style as some of my previous Cantonese opera inspired pieces.
For this hand crafted drawing, I allowed myself to use whatever medium worked best for the effect I wanted, ball point pen for precision, coloured pencils for blending and Coptic markers for vibrant high contrast.
The result is this surreal fantasy piece of what an imagined cat’s dream may look like.
